Thinking Of Starting A Franchise In Florida?

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009 | Uncategorized with No Comments »

If you live in Florida or near Florida and are thinking about start a business Jacksonville, FL has to be the ideal location to take the big step. Because it is a beautiful place with lots of rich people! :D

Starting a business though can be a huge risk as you don’t really know if the product you are going to sell will take off. The best thing to do in my opinion is to run a franchise Jacksonville, FL. That way you don’t not have to take on as much responsibility.

For people who don not know, a franchise basically means a big company lets their name to smaller shops around the world to open up and sell their products for them. This is good because it means you know the product is already exposed to the market and is selling well.

So if you have been thinking about setting up a business then I would strongly urge you to buy franchise Jacksonville, FL.

I visited someone’s house recently, you know when you go to a new house and you start making remarks about how lovely they have made the place and you don’t actually mean it? Well I did not have to make any false remarks because it really was an awesome place.

It was a converted warehouse that had been turned into a flat/housing unit. I remember the first time I walked around it and thinking what a lucky person my new friend was for landing a place at such a cheap price.

It was very spacious and everything from the flooring to the roofing had been blended into one so perfectly. Even if we did have to take our shoes off whenever we go there.

Actually when I’m there I spend a lot of the time looking up and admiring the corrugated roofing that looks beautiful. It sort of reminds me of the corrugated iron sheets that we used to use when I was kid to make camps.

I remember one New Year’s Eve party we went outside to watch him light fireworks from the roof when one of the roofing panels fell off and made a hell of a noise as it clattered to the floor.

I’m always asking him if there are any vacant units going, I want to live there so badly!

FINAL QUOTES AND WEIGHTS

What All 10 SHOWTIME Fighters Had To Say — Thursday, June 19, 2009,
ShoWare Center Club Lounge, Kent, Wash.

“STRIKEFORCE CHALLENGERS’’
Tomorrow/Friday, June 19, On SHOWTIME; Telecast Begins at 11 p.m. ET/PT

KENT, Wash. (June 18, 2009) — The main event weigh-in produced some pushing and shoving Thursday as Evangelista “Cyborg” and “Smokin” Joe Villasenor squared off a day before their huge Strikeforce Challengers, middleweight fight to take place Friday, June 19, at the ShoWare Center at Kent, Wash., live on SHOWTIME® (11 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast).

After Cyborg weighed in for their 185-pound fight at 184 ½ pounds and Villasenor 185 pounds, both fighters met face to face. Things got a little too close for comfort and Cyborg pressed his head hard against Villasenor who then pushed back before words were exchanged. At one point, Cyborg pushed Villasenor by the throat before both fighters had to be separated.

Each of the other eight fighters taking part in the televised portion of the show also made weight and squared off without incident.

In the main event on SHOWTIME, Villasenor of Albuquerque, N.M., faces Cyborg of Rondonopolis Mato Grosso, Brazil, in a clash of top-notch middleweights. In another huge middleweight matchup, Nick “the Goat” Thompson takes on highly regarded Tim Kennedy, an Army Ranger and Special Forces sniper.

This is the second edition of the Strikeforce Challengers series from leading MMA promoter Strikeforce and premium television network SHOWTIME. The five-fight telecasts airs at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the west coast). Strikeforce Challengers is a proving ground for up-and-coming MMA fighters. The series is designed to provide today’s top prospects with the opportunity to step-up their level of competition and demonstrate their ability in a nationally televised event.

Other bouts on SHOWTIME: Cory “The One” Devela of Bonney Lake, Wash., faces Luke Rockhold of Santa Cruz, Calif. (middleweights), Sarah Kaufman of Victoria, Canada, takes on Shayna “The Queen Of Spades’’ Baszler of Sioux Falls, S.D., in a 135-pound women’s fight and Jorge Gurgel of Cincinnati, Ohio, will collide with Conor “Hurricane’’ Heun of Boulder, Colo., in a 155-pound scrap.

ShoWare Center doors will open for the Strikeforce Challengers event at 5:30 p.m. PT.

What the fighters said Thursday and their final weights:

“SMOKIN” JOE VILLASENOR – 184 ½
“I’m feeling incredible right now. I think this fight will be all about momentum. After this fight everyone will know what I’m capable of.”

STRIKEFORCE CHALLENGERS QUOTES, PHOTOS AND WEIGHTS

EVANGELISTA CYBORG – 185
“Come Friday night, I will show that I deserve this: the main event. It’s very cool to be the main event. It’s going to be a good fight and I think everyone will know me when we’re all done. I have respect for my opponent. He has good boxing skill, good wrestling skill … but he’s not great at one thing. He’s good at a lot of things, but not great. I will win.”

TIM KENNEDY – 184
“I’ve got a huge Army following and am fighting out of Fort Bragg (Fayetteville, N.C.). I think it was very big of Nick to take this fight. I’ve been away from the game for awhile (he’s currently a Special Forces sniper serving in the Army). I’m sure he isn’t happy seeing me on the other side of the cage. This is fun. This is the good stuff. It beats getting shot at.”

NICK “THE GOAT” THOMPSON – 185
“This was the fight they offered me so I’ll take it. I don’t like fighting at 185. I hate it. I want to just do this and go back to 170.

“When you get a guy as technically sound as Tim it’s going to be dangerous.

“A loss here will definitely set me back. They don’t offer title fights to guys coming off a loss.
This is fun. To get paid to fight is so much fun. I like to have fun in the ring. Not that I don’t take it seriously but I like to goof around a bit.”

JORGE GURGEL – 157 ½
“I have never felt this good before. I never get nervous. But I never felt this good in UFC. I have put no pressure on myself. I guess I’m a late bloomer. I’ve never felt this great before and my cutting weight has been great. I’m having fun and having a great time out here. He’s a green fighter. I want to keep him standing up.”

CONOR “HURRICAINE” HEUN – 158 ½
“I haven’t fought an MMA match since October so I’m hungry. You’re in danger when you step in the cage with me. My cardio is absolutely impeccable. I’ll fight the fight wherever he wants it to go. It’s going to be beautiful. I hope everyone enjoys it.

“Having fun on Friday night would be looking into his (Gurgel’s) eyes and knowing he’s outclassed. I don’t go to church. Going into the cage is like my church.”

SARAH KAUFMAN – 134
“She’s going to try and go for things that you don’t really expect. She’s going to jump into some things that you don’t really see a lot of. So I’ll be looking for that.

“It’s a positive for me that I just fought last month (May 15; a win over Miesha Tate). It’s hard to peak so many times but I’d rather take this fight than not. I think as long as you’re trained and you’re not injured then you should always take the fight.

“I love the five-minute rounds. It’s going to be awesome. I would go10-minute rounds if I could. I get better as the round goes longer. I push the pace and my opponents hate it.”

STRIKEFORCE CHALLENGERS QUOTES, PHOTOS AND WEIGHTS

SHAYNA “THE QUEEN OF SPADES” BASZLER – 134 ½
“I learned overtraining didn’t work for me (in a previous loss to Cris Cyborg). I learned mental exhaustion translates into physical exhaustion. At this training camp I had a deal with my roommates that once I got home there was no talking about the fight.

“I think Sarah has a pretty aggressive style and she’s confident that it works. The biggest challenge is we know each other too well. And not because, ‘Oh, I don’t want to fight my friend,’ but just strategically. She knows I’m going to want to take her to the ground and I know she’s going to want to stand and punch me in the face.

“I wish they had a stat on how many times people hit rewind on their DVR. I’d win that one for sure.

“Sarah is very good but she’s very predictable.”

CORY “THE ONE” DEVELA – 184

He’s the only Washington state resident on the televised bout from Bonney Lake, Wash., about 45 miles from Seattle.

“I get more frustrated with getting all my friends and family tickets than I do training for this fight. I’ll have like 150 to 200 people at the fight.

“I think the ref is going to stop it. I predict middle second round. I couldn’t find much on (Luke) Rockhold but I’m ready for anything.”

LUKE ROCKHOLD – 183 ½

“I know Cory’s going to be tough. He’s not the most technical striker but I know he likes to throw.

“It should be an all-around tough fight. I believe all around I have better range and am more fine-tuned than he is.

“I’m long and strong and flexible and not a lot of fighters are like that. So I cause problems for people. I have the strength to do things people don’t expect from me.”

Mauro Ranallo will call the action from cageside with Stephen Quadros and Pat Miletich serving as expert analysts. The executive producer is David Dinkins, Jr., with Richard Gaughan producing and Rick Phillips directing.

SHOWTIME® AND STRIKEFORCE
CONFERENCE CALL HIGHLIGHTS;
GINA CARANO, CRIS CYBORG,
SCOTT COKER & KEN HERSHMAN

Thursday, June 18, 2009

“CARANO vs. CYBORG” – Saturday, Aug. 15, HP Pavilion, San Jose, Calif.,
Live on SHOWTIME at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the west coast)

NEW YORK (June 18, 2009) – After an eight-month hiatus, Mixed Martial Arts’ (MMA) leading lady, the undefeated and extremely popular Gina “Conviction” Carano (7-0) will compete in the first fight of her multi-fight agreement with STRIKEFORCE when she squares off with rival powerhouse Cris “Cyborg” (7-1) in what is being billed as a milestone event in women’s MMA history.

The undefeated Carano and once-beaten Cyborg are slated to battle five, 5-minute rounds in the first-ever fight for the STRIKEFORCE Women’s 145-Pound World Title, Saturday, Aug. 15, live on SHOWTIME® at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.

Tickets, starting at $30, are available NOW at the HP Pavilion box office (408-287-7070), all Ticketmaster locations (800-745-3000), Ticketmaster online (www.ticketmaster.com), and the official STRIKEFORCE website (www.strikeforce.com).

The most-desired matchup in the history of women’s MMA is also one that is undeniably the most dangerous assignment to date for a pair regarded as the preeminent female fighters in the world.

Carano, who will be trained for this fight by MMA legend Randy “The Natural” Couture, has achieved larger than life status over the course of the last year. In a Yahoo! online poll that named the “Top 10 Influential Women of 2008,” the 27 year-old Las Vegas resident ranked fifth, placing ahead of First Lady Michelle Obama and famed journalists Katie Couric and Barbara Walters. Carano has also been featured in the pages of Maxim and profiled by ESPN’s newsmagazine show E:60.

Confident of ruining Carano’s eagerly awaited return to the cage is the talented 23-year-old Cyborg, who has been known to devastate foes with brute strength and has been calling out Carano for several months. Cyborg, along with her husband and fellow STRIKEFORCE competitor Evangelista Cyborg, is a member of Brazil’s famed fight squad, Chute Boxe.

Highlights from Thursday’s conference call:

OPENING COMMENTS:

SCOTT COKER:
“This isn’t just the biggest female fight in MMA history; I really believe it’s one of the largest female fights of all time. I can’t remember when a women’s fight has had No. 1 vs. No. 2 fight.”

“To me, the fight is historic on a number of levels. It’s the first time a woman has been on a main event on SHOWTIME. And secondly, the winner of this fight will be crowned the first ever Women’s 145-pound STRIKEFORCE Champion.”

KEN HERSHMAN:
“Gina has a long history of “firsts” on SHOWTIME. She was on our first-ever MMA card back in February, 2007. She was the first female fighter on CBS. And now, she’s the first female athlete to headline a major fight card on SHOWTIME against Cris Cyborg. We couldn’t be prouder to be associated with these two athletes.”

“I think we’re going to redefine what it is to be a female Mixed Martial Arts athlete.”

“Not since 1996 when Christy Martin was on the cover of Sports Illustrated, have we seen a female fight or event like this.”

GINA CARANO:
“This is an honor on so many different levels. It’s an honor to be fighting on STRIKEFORCE . I’m really impressed with the cards they’ve put on.”

“I’m honored to fight such a great opponent and to fight for the first-ever female MMA title. This is just all-around a huge honor.

“I’m really training hard and I’m looking forward to fighting Cyborg. I think it’s going to be the toughest fight of my life. I appreciate all the love and support. It’s going to be a tough fight, but I’m looking forward to it.”

CYBORG:
“I’d like to thank STRIKEFORCE and everybody else. I am extremely honored to fight Gina. I don’t think there is anybody else out there that is better than Gina.”

“What happened on the Internet with me choking out that interviewer, that was just a joke. It was a part of the scheme and there was nothing serious to it.”

How much do you weigh right now and how confident are you that you can get down to 145 pounds in time for the weigh in?
CARANO:
“I’d rather keep to myself how much I weigh right now, but I’ve never had any troubles getting down to 145. I’ve had trouble making 130 and 135.

“I think 145 is a perfect weight for me and Cyborg and I don’t see any problem for either of us getting down to it.”

CYBORG:
“I’m not weighing too much heavier than what I usually walk around at. Making 145 pounds is not a problem at all.”

How does the change to five, 5-minute rounds affect your training?
CARANO
“I think this is going to be a tough fight. It’s going to be tough even if it was three rounds or 3-minute rounds. Cyborg is such an amazing athlete and amazing fighter. This is all getting compounded by three: there’s a title, I’m fighting Cyborg and its 5-minute rounds. So, for me, mentally, this has done nothing but focus me and bring back the passion that I need to train. When I have an awesome opponent to train for I’m in the gym and I’m really excited for it. All I want is for it to be a good fight and for us to do our best out there. I think that’s what will happen. The 5-minute rounds are definitely going to intensify it, but we’re going to go for it. I know we can do it.”

CYBORG:
“In Brazil, my fights down there were three, 5-minute rounds, so this is really no change for me. When I came to the U.S., I was relieved that they were only three, 3-minute rounds because my cardio couldn’t be any better. My training hasn’t really changed at all.

“I’m happy that we’re getting the respect we deserve.”

Why did you start training with Randy Couture?
“Originally, when I first met Randy, it was before that SHOWTIME fight against Julie Kedzie. He just came into the locker room and said two sentences to me and it screwed my head on straight. I haven’t really gotten to work with him for the last two years I’ve been a part of Extreme Couture. We both had different things going on. I knew he would be in Las Vegas for the months leading up to this fight, so I thought it might be important for me to really not try to manage all this high level of intensity. I just didn’t want to have to deal with that all by myself, like I had to in the past. I’m not taking anything away from the managers that I’ve had, but there aren’t a lot of people that can put it straight and organize you like Randy Couture. He’s had the experience since the beginning of the sport. It was nice to not have to do it by myself and to have someone who has been through it before.”

What were you doing to keep yourself busy in the past few months?
“When I first came into this sport I was looking around for somebody who had come in before me and had paved the way, and I just didn’t see it at that time. I figured I would do it how I wanted to do it.”

“I don’t understand why everyone focuses on my looks. There are a lot of beautiful women out there. It’s just kind of thrown me off my feet with the attention that I’ve gotten. Now, I’m getting more organized and I’m taking a break from all the hype and everything so I can be more true to myself. I’m trying to do my best with the opportunities I’ve been given and I think I’m really maturing. It will be nothing but better from here on out.”

Why did you want to make this the headline fight?
COKER:
“The thought process was very simple. If you look at the caliber of this fight as being the No. 1 vs. No. 2 female fighters in the world, it was a no-brainer.”

What does it mean to be fighting as the main event above all the male fights?
CARANO:
“A fight is a fight when it comes down to it and I know that it’s going to be a very difficult fight. The fact that STRIKEFORCE put this on is a complete honor to once again have another first in history.

“I know that women’s MMA is going to do nothing but get bigger from here on out. To have the first main event in MMA history, against Cyborg of all people, is just going to be amazing for me. It’s such an honor, and since it’s such an honor I just don’t feel the added pressure. I think it’s a win-win situation.”

“I’m just so excited. I’ve never been so excited for a fight.”

CYBORG:
“This isn’t my first main event. Of course, there’s always some added pressure. But, the added pressure is overcome by the happiness and the opportunity to showcase women’s MMA with one of the best fighters of the time in Gina Carano.

“Perhaps one day we might even fight men!”

How deep is the women’s fight division?
CARANO
“I just think that the problem has been exposure for women.”

“People walk away from female fighting and they talk about it like it’s the main event. It’s just a matter of exposure.”

“It’s blowing up from here and I’m so honored to be a part of it from the beginning.”

CYBORG:
“Gina and I are just the blueprints of what future MMA stars will follow.”

“I’m excited for the potential for women’s MMA and its potential to grow. I’d like to see that happening in the near future.”

What did Randy Couture say to you?
CARANO:
“He sat down, and I’d never met him before. He sat down and my head was wound up a little bit too tight. He looked at me and said, ‘You know why we do this.’ And I looked at him like, ‘No, why am I doing this.’ And he said, ‘because we love it, right?’ His presence and his coolness completely took any anxiety that I was feeling and turned it into passion. I was ready to go from then. After that fight, I said if somebody can affect me that strongly I want to go train with them.”

What was the first thing that your dad said to you when he found out you were fighting for the title?
CARANO:
“Jab, jab, jab. He’s been supportive, but he hasn’t been saying too much.”

“At first, he didn’t really like it, but now he’s definitely one of my biggest supporters.”

Have you guys had a chance to meet each other?
CARANO:
“Our rooms were right across from each other at one of the fights. I don’t speak the same language as her, but it’s been nothing but smiles. She seems like a great girl and I’m excited and honored to fight her. I couldn’t have a better opponent to make history with.”

CYBORG:
“I was very happy and loved the opportunity to meet her a few times. There was nothing but an exchange and a smile like, ‘Hello, hi, how are you?’ “

“There’s nothing personal against Gina. We’re both going after the same thing and only one can come out on top. It is what it is. I think Gina is a great person. She lives up to everything her image stands for.”

Is there a day that goes by that you don’t think about each other?
CARANO:
“No, there’s actually not. I’ve been thinking about this fight for a long time. And now, more than ever, I think about her every day.”

CYBORG:
“I think about Gina pretty much every day. She’s on my mind whether I’m on the treadmill or training in the gym. Gina is on my mind constantly because she is such a great athlete and such a great woman.”

How do you see this fight going in terms of the balance between striking and grappling?
CARANO:
“I’m prepared for everything because I know that Cris is good at everything. She’s great standing, she’s great on the ground. I’m prepared for wherever this fight goes. I think in the past I’ve been labeled as a standup fighter, but I’m not afraid to take it to the ground either.”

“I’m going to be prepared for everything, however it goes, and, hopefully, I’ll come out the winner in it.”

CYBORG:
“I have no problem where the fight goes. Wherever it goes, it’s going to be explosive, it’s going to be fast and it’s going to be happening. It’s not going to be a boring fight.”

How do you manage all the attention Gina gets?
CYBORG:
“I love being feared because that’s one less thing I worry about when I step in there that the other lady is scared.”

“I would hope that I can be known as Cyborg. I’d like to be the face of women’s MMA, not just boxing and Muay Thai.”

How do you plan on handling Cyborg?
CARANO:
“I’m just going to fight my game plan and try to be in the best shape possible. And, hopefully, just do my best and fight my fight and not anybody else’s fight. She’s explosive. We’re going to find out how I handle it, I guess.”

CLOSING COMMENTS:
CARANO:
“I’m honored to be a part of such a great sport. I think that it has changed my life in a lot of ways and redirected me. I’ve learned so much about the world through this sport.”

“For this fight, it’s one of the biggest honors and it almost makes me choke up to say that I’m going to be able to fight such a wonderful opponent. It’s such a big deal for females in this sport. There are so many of them out there and there are going to be so many more in the years to come.”

“I really feel like we’re a part of something huge. I hope I make everybody proud and I’m looking forward to all the great fights in the future.”

6/18 TNA Impact Recap

Friday, June 19th, 2009 | Uncategorized with No Comments »

Impact opens with highlights from last week’s Impact where Jeff Jarrett was suspended and Kurt Angle defeated Sting to advance to the King of the Mountain match with a little help from Matt Morgan. What will Mick Foley have in store for tonight as we head into Slammiversary?

The Impact intro hits and we are welcomed to tonight’s show and see that the ring is filled with balloons and streamers as Mick Foley’s music hits. Foley comes down to the ring with Earl Hebner, his personal security and a clown with more balloons. Foley says that he has found his smile once again and informs the fans that Earl Heber will be fine after suffering the attack from Jeff Jarrett.

Mick Foley then calls AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle and the guest of honor, Jeff Jarrett, to the ring. Some confetti starts to fly as Foley announces that Samoa Joe and AJ Styles will team up to face Kurt Angle and Sting in a three way tag team dance. The other team will consist of Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley. Samoa Joe doesn’t want to wait, though, for the match tonight and clocks Angle and has to be pulled of by security.

We head to the back where Jeremy Borash is with Daffney, Dr. Stevie and Raven. Daffney says she is going to be in a match made in hell against Angelina Love, Taylor Wilde and Awesome Kong. JB says that Angelina is scheduled to be Daffney’s partner to which she says her only partner is Raven. As far as Raven goes, he says he can sense Abyss in the building and says that Abyss should prepare a tombstone for both of them since they will need them after their Monsters Ball match.

A video package highlighting the feud building between Shane Douglas and Daniels with Douglas demanding a second chance is aired. Daniels is competing in the first match up of the night against the Amazing Red.

Match 1: Daniels vs. Amazing Red
The match starts and Amazing Red dropkicks Daniels out of the ring and jumps over the ropes with a spinning dive and takes out Daniels. The match returns to the ring where Daniels turns Red inside out with a hard clothesline. Red begins to fight back with a series of kicks and takes Daniels down with an hurricanrana from the top rope. Red then hits Daniels with a DDT from the top rope but Daniels is able to kick out. Daniels is able to get back into the match as he counters a move into a Death Valley Driver. Daniels then hits the B.M.E. for the pin fall and the victory.

Shane Douglas appears on the big screen and says that he is a level headed, fair individual but thinks that Jeff Jarrett screwed up for letting Daniels back into TNA. He then says that he accepts Daniels’ challenge and says that he is a legend that deserves a second chance. He will make sure that Daniels will get franchised at Slammiversary.

Lauren is with Lauren, Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed and Taylor takes some responsibility for bringing Daffney into TNA and says that she wasn’t there when the Beautiful People attacked her. Saeed silences Taylor and gives the microphone to Kong who says monster will kill princess first, then monster will kill monster last.

We head to the broadcast table who runs down tonight’s show that will feature a Clockwork Orange House of Fun match between Raven and Jethro Holliday, Daffney & Angelina Love against Taylor Wilde & Awesome Kong and the main event of AJ Styles & Samoa Joe against Sting & Kurt Angle against Mick Foley & Jeff Jarrett.

Matt Morgan interrupts and calls Sting out to the ring. Morgan says the reason he isn’t in the Main Event Mafia is because he hasn’t been a World Champion, but brings up that no one has given him a chance at the World Championship. Morgan asks Sting to give him a chance to beat a champion and challenges Sting to a match at Slammiversary.

Sting says that Morgan may be on to something and says he will make the deal better by putting up his spot in the MEM and will give it to Morgan if he is beaten. Morgan agrees and tries to get in a cheap shot but Sting is able to sidestep him and send Morgan out to the floor.

Jeremy Borash is with Jeff Jarrett who says he never knows which Mick Foley is going to show up when he arrives at the Impact Zone. Jarrett says the only reason he doesn’t get rid of him is because he has compassion for someone in his state. Jarrett then says that the TNA Championship will be coming home this weekend where it belongs.

Match 2: Jethro Holliday vs. Raven (Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match)
Holliday meets Raven on the match and begins to beat him with a trash can. The fight goes into the ring and Holliday begins grabbing weapons until Dr. Stevie hits Holliday with a kendo stick. Raven then takes control and sends him into the guard railing with a Russian leg sweep before laying into Holliday with a kendo stick.

Holliday begins to fight back with a series of fists and then connects with a knee to the face. Holliday sends Raven into the cage wall and pins him between the ropes and the cage. Holliday then charges at Raven and he ducks out of the way as the cage wall falls to the floor. Raven then goes out to the floor and picks up the three count for the victory.

After the match, Raven delivers an Evenflow DDT onto a chair as Daffney brings out a straight jacket and they begin putting Holliday into it. Abyss’ music hits and he clears out the ring as he scowls at Raven and points in his direction.

A sit down interview between Don West and Samoa Joe is aired. Joe says he is being advised by someone but he won’t say who it is. As for AJ Styles, they don’t always get along but they figure things out. He then says that the Main Event Mafia has done nothing to get what they deserve and have taken it away from those who have earned it. He says he is on a seek and destroy mission and will take out Kurt Angle at Slammiversary.

Abyss is with Lauren who says Raven, Stevie and Daffney can do whatever they want to him as he has been through it all. However, when they put their hands on Lauren, that makes him want to cry for them. Abyss says his mom raised him not to hit girls, however, Daffney is she not a girl, but is a wacked out, crazy, bitch. He then says he is coming after Dr. Stevie after he is through with Raven and Daffney.

Match 3: Daffney & Angelina Love vs. Taylor Wilde & Awesome Kong
The match starts and Taylor and Angelina begin trading blows and Taylor tags in Kong. Angelina wants no part of her and quickly tags in Daffney who is immediately brought down with a shoulder block. Kong begins to toss Daffney around the ring and tags in Taylor.

Taylor comes in and Angelina takes her down by the hair when the referee’s back is turned. Angelina is tagged in and begins to work Taylor over and picks up a two count in the process. Daffney is tagged back in and Taylor is able to kick her away and tag in Kong who sets her sights on Angelina and begins to choke her out while Velvet Sky is on the outside and sprays hairspray in Raisha Saeed’s eyes. Kong then delivers the Implant Buster to Daffney and picks up the pin fall.

After the match, Kong is attacked from behind by the Beautiful People and Angelina drives Kong facefirst into a chair with a drop toe hold as Daffney ties up Taylor in the corner. Tara comes out to the ring to help out and clears the ring as she turns around and stands face to face with Kong as the two stare each other down.

Jeremy Borash is with Team 3D who wonders where Beer Money was last week when they were attacked from behind from the British Invasion. Brother Ray wonders as well as they thought there was a mutual respect between the two teams. Devon says it would be in Beer Money’s best interest to let them know where they were before Slammiversary comes around.

More footage of Cody Deaner’s training is aired and this time he is chasing ducks , benching paint is running along side ODB on an ATV. Deaner finally catches a duck and ODB says that he is finally ready.

So Cal Val is with Lethal Consequences and the Motorcity Machine Guns. Lethal begins calling Val a devil in a red dress as won’t let Val do her job without talking over her. Shelley steps in and says that one of Detroit’s finest will come out a champion and maybe even unmask Suicide at Slammiversary. Lethal says either he or Consequences Creed will be champion as the two begin jawing back and forth.

After a commercial break, So Cal Val meets up with Beer Money and they say they don’t owe Team 3D anything. Team 3D step in they say they were busy spending all of the money they just won. The two then come to blows as they begin fighting into a dark closet.

Match 4: Lethal Consequences & the Motorcity Machine Guns vs. Team 3D & Beer Money
As Team 3D’s music hits we see the two teams fighting it out on the entrance ramp. They send each other into ring posts and guard railings until Lethal Consequences dive over the ropes and takes out Beer Money. Suicide then runs into the ring and takes out the Motorcity Machine Guns from behind. Devon rolls Jay Lethal into the ring as the bell finally rings as Team 3D begins to work over Lethal Consequences and then hits the 3D on Alex Shelley for the pin fall.

So Cal Val is with AJ Styles and Samoa Joe and Styles says he wants to be in the ring with the best in the world and is glad that he, Joe and Daniels are back together. Joe steps in and says that he knows Styles has a hairline fracture and he isn’t cleared to wrestle. Joe says he will handle everything in the ring tonight.

Jeremy Borash is in Mick Foley’s office where he is with Mr. Davis who is the new head of security. Borash says that people love Foley’s tweaks and Borash’s tweets that he is now calling them the Tweak n’ Tweet Connection. Borash pulls out a caricature of the two and Foley calls in they maintenance guy, who is Kip James. Foley makes Kip change out the photo of AJ Styles with the drawing of him and Borash.

The broadcast team hypes the Slammiversary pay-per-view as we then head to Jeremy Borash who is with Kurt Angle. Angle says that since Sting has taken over the Mafia his life has become less stressful and Sting taught him how to be more calm, cool and collected. However, at Slammiversary, he will kick Joe’s ass and will win the TNA Championship.

Match 5: Samoa Joe & AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle & Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett & Mick Foley
The match starts and Sting and Foley lock up and Sting takes him down by sending Foley face first into the canvas. Angle is tagged back in and Foley begins to work over Angle’s arm before tagging in Jarrett, who continues to work on the arm and tags Foley back in.

Foley and Angle go back and forth before Jarrett is tagged back in and goes for the Stroke but Angle counters into an ankle lock. Jarrett escapes and Angle goes for the Angle Slam but Jarrett counters into a DDT. With Jarrett in the ring, Foley joins the broadcast team and begins providing a few words for commentary as we head into a commercial break.

We return to the match to see Foley is still at the announce table and Angle has just applied to ankle lock on Jarrett. Jarrett is looking for a tag but Foley is nowhere to be found. Jarrett is able to kick out and tags in Samoa Joe who comes in and takes out Angle and Sting. Jarrett then confronts Foley on the floor and nails him with a steel chair. In the ring, Joe delivers the muscle buster to Angle and picks up the victory for his team.

After the match, Joe and Styles shake hands as Joe then gets in the Angle’s face as Impact comes to a close.

Starman’s Thoughts
Tonight was not quite the greatest lead in to one of the bigger pay-per-view events of the year, but it certainly wasn’t the worst. I was a little bothered over the fact of the lack of wrestling once again which was a huge step back from last week, but what little happened in the ring this week did at least help promote Slammiversary.

Since there is little in ring action to discuss, I will spend some time writing about a few of the promos that I enjoyed. For starters, I really enjoyed the meeting between Matt Morgan and Sting. This was a last minute addition to Slammiversary but was done well with the young person wanting his shot and the veteran who still has confidence in his abilities. This won’t be a 5-star match or even close to it, but I am looking forward to seeing where this all goes.

Although I loved Beer Money and Team 3D’s newfound respect for one another, it could only go on for so long. Beer Money winning $100,000 gave them the opportunity to bring out the arrogance and breathe some new life into their feud. I guess this means Beer Money will be heading back to being heels. I think I’d rather see it the other way but these two teams should have another great match at any rate.

One final aspect I liked was the promo that Abyss delivered. At first I wasn’t feeling it at all with Abyss using his crazy voice and I was longing for that one day when Abyss knocked it out of the park with his promo on Matt Morgan back in February. Then Abyss suddenly went into that mode. It wasn’t quite as intense, but it was a decent promo from a guy who seems to go back and forth between being interesting and being comical.

Speaking of being interesting and being comical, I can officially say that I am tired of Mick Foley in TNA in his present form. I don’t like the fact that he holds so much power, is the TNA Champion and goes back and forth with his personas. One moment he is intense and the next he is rambling on about nothing in particular. Someone who is in that much power and is the top guy in the company shouldn’t be doing that much comedy. I really hope that the title is taken off of him this weekend.

Another person who has run his course in its present form is Jay Lethal. His Black Machismo gimmick has run its course a while ago and tonight was proof of that during his backstage interview segment. I will give TNA credit for not selectively forgetting the history between the Lethal and SoCal Val, but the entire interview segment was ruined by Lethal’s constant yelling at Val and talking over everything that was being said. I like Lethal as a wrestler, he just needs to be repackaged into something far, far, away from the Macho Man.

Finally, this Sunday is Slammiversary which means I will be back this weekend with my preview and predictions.

Check out my other TNA thoughts and opinions on my web site, thehexagoncircle.com and feel free to give me feedback of any type at starman@inlinefusion.com.

Till next time…

WWE Superstars Report 6/18

Match One: Chavo Guerrero Jr beat Santino Marella (3:52)
Santino grabs the mike first. He makes some more cracks on Vickie and Chavo himself. Chavo attacks Santino very quickly. Chavo continues to control the majority of the match. Jerry Lawler likes to believe Santino and Santina are different people. Santino ducks and Chavo flys through the middle ropes. Chavo only connects with two of three amigos suplexes. Santino reverses the last one into a Goldberg like jackhammer. Santino comes off the second rope but receives a boot from Chavo, allowing Chavo to get the win.

Did You Know: WWE has produced 20 books that have made the New York Times Best Sellers List?

Match Two:
So who wants to bet Ryder will win? Matthews accidentally says this is Ryders first appearance on SuperStars. Striker corrects him and says its his third. He’s been on here more than ECW I think. Ryder makes quick work of Mr. Williams. Jumping leg drop followed by the Zack attack for the three.

Maria is looking … oh boy … in her special ref uniform.

Match Three: Eve Torres beat Layla (3:32)
They go back and show the history of this match. Starting from a dance off, 7 weeks ago. An arm wrestling contest, 6 weeks ago. An attack during makeup - 5 weeks ago. All also involving Cryme Time. Both girls lock up, Layla works over Eves arm. Eve does some of the same. A hammerlock to be exact. Snapmare followed by drop kick by Layla. Layla works over the left leg of Eve. Suplex by Eve. Very nice handspring moonsault for the win. Both ladies shake hands after some encouragement by Maria. Layla still looks pissed afterwards though.

Match Three: Carlito Colon, Primo Colon & Christian Cage beat Tyson Kidd, Jack Swagger & David Hart Smith (12:32)
So ECW gets two matches this week. Fitting, as they have the shortest show. Carlito vs David Hart start out. It quickly turns into double team work by The Colons. Swagger gets tagged in, gets leveled by Primo with a drop kick and a tag to Christian. Spinning elbow off the second rope by Christian. Hart off the second rope but Christian gets his feet up. Tag to Primo, cross body for a two. Hart and them Kidd get sent to the outside. Natalya trips up Primo though and David sends Primo face first into the mat. We go to break. When we come back, Primo is still in the ring - now being worked over by Swagger. Looks like a hot tag will be coming soon. Powerslam by David. He goes for the chinlock. Im pretty sure David called Primo a little boy while doing the hold as well. Kidd stretches Primo through the rops. Both meen clothes line each other. Uh-oh, Hot Tag time!! Carlito comes in, blaze of glory. The match starts to break down. Christian takes out Swagger. Primo on Smith as well. As Carlito hits the back cracker on Kidd for the win.

Overall: Glad to see their doing more than just 3 matches. I hope that contiues. The divas show promise but need more work. Good main event, as usual. Out shined everything else.

Quick Results:
Chavo Guerrero Jr beat Santino Marella (3:52)
Zack Ryder beat Mike Williams (1:39)
Eve Torres beat Layla El (3:32)
Carlito Colon, Primo Colon & Christian beat Tyson Kidd, Jack Swagger & David Hart Smith (12:32)
